FORMA is a timeless, modular trench coat designed to carry your day. It blends elegant tailoring with 14 smart features to replace your need for a bag entirely.
Handmade from waxed cotton and finished with a silk-viscose thermal lining, it's water-repellent, durable, and designed for movement. Every piece is made-to-order, 100% vegan, and produced in BSCI-certified workshops to ensure ethical, low-impact craftsmanship — right down to the last stitch.
Materials: Forma is made from 100% GOTS-certified organic waxed cotton, water-repellent and breathable, with a 100% silky viscose thermal lining for comfort and movement. Ethically crafted in BSCI-certified workshops using vegan, low-impact materials.

The coat is nicely made out of beautiful fabric. It has a fair amount of weight to it so not suitable for warm days but the kind of coat that you will have for decades. Looks great. Only issue is that I ordered in January and it did not arrive until June, so I need to wait until October to wear it out.

Wow. The box was banged up, so I was nervous...but the product survived! Amazing. The quality is outstanding. This material is heavy. The stitching is perfect. I can't wait to wear this coat out and about! I love it. Worth the 6 month wait. Now I wish I had it in the light color as well as the black. Thank you.
beautifully made, worth the wait
Great coat exactly what i hoped for. Bought the hoop. Middle button wont click in think its because of a positioning of a clip on the inside of the coat. Still love it but a bit weird why theres a button clip on the inside of the neckline. Is this suppose to be there i wonder.
Autumn in Australia this year is still a bit too warm, so I'm looking forward to cooler wetter days to wear my Black trench coat. The fit, fabric, colour, and texture are just excellent.
And I'm dreaming of an Orange trench as well!
Better than expected, nice craftsmanship and special difference material.
Since I live in the heat of Florida, USA, I needed a warm coat for traveling. I purchased this coat and have used it this past winter in Portugal and New York City. It was perfect, especially since I was able to configure the coat to fit the weather each day while also carrying the items I needed with no concerns. The extra pieces such as the hood, the vest and the bottom panel were easy to add as needed. The pockets were very useful and I did enjoy the metro pocket while in Portugal. Overall, this is a very good coat for traveling to cooler locations.
The extension panel really turns one coat into two:short, practical and longer and more elegant for city wear.
I adore my new coat. So brilliantly fabric-engineered! So practical!! I wear short version for cycling around my West London neighbourhood; the longer version, in Central London for concerts and museums. I love not having to change or even carry purses - forgetting keys, transportation cards, stolen phones in Underground! A wise and chic investment!
In principle: a wonderful coat. Great length. Great material with a traditional water repellent glossy finish, which was positive surprise as I hadn't been aware of it so far. Pretty lining inside. High quality manufacture as it seems.
And: I love all those smart pockets...
BUT: It is far too small for me... :( Not as much over my belly as I had feared (thanks to the A-Line design), but still. But even worse and making it impossible for me to wear the jacket: the sleeves are far too tight/slim.
I never had the impression I have to bulky arms, as I so far only very rarely came across clothes that were too tight around the arms.
I assume, I got mixed up with the French sizes of the clothes (and I guess Natasha did, too, as I asked her for advice). I discovered a 44 - 46 in Germany corresponds to a 46 - 48 in France. So, when I said I wear 44-46 I talked about the German fits. I should have ordered at least L, maybe even XL.
Such a pity, especially since I've been looking for a real trenchcoat for ages, but the way it is now, I can't wear the jacket and will have to try and find someone who is willing to buy it from me and pay a reasonable price.
Although I will certainly loose quite some money. I guess that's the risk when buying such things through Kickstarter.
The trenchcoat itself is certainly fantastic though, but obviously designed for slim ladies only, despite of the A-Line design.
Excellent idea for a coat to have so many useful pockets. Lining not quite as silky and shiny as it looks online (always hard to tell material when buying online though). I bought from Kickstarter campaign and it seems from other reviews that at least this first batch seems to be on the smaller size. I can just fit in the coat but the vest liner (doudoune) is way too small in the same size. (Also watch out for customs charges if buying from the UK as I hadn't realised I would have to pay this - my own fault admittedly.)
Love the fabric. So far it has done great in the amount of precipitation it encountered. Lining is awesome, and lots of pockets as per brief :). Love that the belt is secured on the straps preventing loss. This said, please consider adding a hanging briddle, hooks are much more frequent than hangers. The A-shape is great to accomodate the many pockets. However knotting the belt becomes almost impossible once pockets are fully loaded. Personal choice: shilouette or practicality. Keep at it! I'm sure it will improve with each iteration
I love this very much, and am so happy I bought this. The length is great, and I enjoy the inner fabric. I hope this will be my forever coat! Time will tell..
Goof coat
Makes the coat much more versatile
Coat seems great a bit complex with as indicated in the advertisment a surprising amount of internal functions. However, very shocked to find an addiitonal £95 for import duties in now being charged which makes it a very expensive option.
It's a wonderful piece, the silhouette is very flattering and it feels light.
Beautiful craftsmanship, pockets excellent. Fabric and lining luxurious. Unfortunately it doesn’t fit across my chest well, and so pulls at the back dart when I try to close the front, even though the size L I chose had dimensions 10 cm larger than my bust measurement. Will have to lose some weight. Get a size up from your normal.

Absolutely love this trench coat with all its pockets. It feels really well made and I will probably wear it a lot once the weather gets a bit cooler here in Melbourne.
